An NDT Technician carries out a wide variety of non - destructive testing of mechanical equipment and piping, both on- stream and off- stream, using the required instruments, tools and NDT equipment. Maintains dark room facility and equipment in good order and all inspection instruments and tools in proper working condition. Must be able to perform diverse non - destructive tests to ensure quality and/ or detect defects. Good knowledge in NDT procedures.
Shall review sub-contractors procedures, written practice and personnel certification documents to be in accordance with Clients requirements.
Reviewing and approving NDT reports, Witnessing NDT activities at site.
Carrying out NDT Assessment/Audit for Mega Projects for Personnel Qualification and Technique, AND QC/ NDT Report Integrity.
Discuss quality, safety and NDT deficiencies, specifications deviations and negative inspection findings with the clients Personal to develop win solutions.
Anticipate and take corrective actions to prevent quality problems, failures, defective works and deficient reports.
Ensure safety standards and requirements are observed and bring policy matters to attention of superiors.
Audit company QC/NDT programs and make/recommend changes or updates. Review and make/recommend revisions to all procedures.
Interface with management to discuss/recommend improvements to the QA/QC AND NDT program.
