The Quality Engineer /CWI participate in the development, execution, and over-site of products and processes used in the manufacturing environment to ensure robust and cost effective designs.
Develops, implements and evaluates tools and equipment for quality assurance and for product/process improvement and conformance
Analyzes, reviews and recommends changes in procedures or objectives
Records and analyzes customer claims
Plans, conducts and supervises research, development or manufacturing engineering assignments
Formulates and integrates department assurance plans and ensures criteria is properly defined
Plans quality functions in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications to facilitate efficient use of Quality systems and inspection resources.
Plan and conduct product and component inspections/audits.
Assist plants with quality related issues and drives relevant root cause corrective action when required.
Interact with functional areas of the company to solve quality related issues. In cooperation with purchasing personnel, work with vendors and suppliers to assess their quality, appraise conformity, act when problems are noted and plan for continuous improvement.
Strong understanding of measurement equipment, print reading and testing facilities required.
Analyzes production limitations and standards.
Recommends revision of specifications when needed or required.
Degree in Engineering, Quality or other related field or equivalent experience to obtain required knowledge
