As a Senior Quality Engineer. You will develop new testing techniques and procedures to better capture the voice of the consumer and build systems to effectively communicate defective return reasons to source factories. In collaboration with footwear and apparel development and the sourcing team, you will assist in eliminating quality issues and reducing demos and defective returns. You will initiate and track corrective actions to ensure solutions are implemented and effective. You will author surveys to gather data from global consumers and retails in order to provide analysis that reveals the demands of the marketplace. As an integral member of the team, you will provide instruction and leadership for Six Sigma associates at New Balance. You will be required to keep abreast on external trends in Six Sigma and cross-functional integration of continuous improvement programs across the company.
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical, chemical, or quality engineering plus 5 or more years of quality engineering experience in a consumer products environment.
Solid knowledge of quality systems, lean Six Sigma implementation, and a proven record of project management.
Experience with Six Sigma implementation and direct product improvement.
